Church Street Art and Crafts Show, Waynesville North Carolina

The Church Street Art and Crafts Show is a very popular Western North Carolina fall event that is expected to draw more than 25,000 visitors this year. The Church Street Art and Crafts Show is scheduled October 10, 2009 from 10:00 until 5:00. This year it is one of the official events as part of the 75th anniversary celebration for the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Vendors from throughout the Southeastern United States including artist, crafters, and food vendors are expected to participate.

This annual event located in Waynesville North Carolina is now considered one of the finest one day shows in Western North Carolina. The event which features two and three dimensional art is a juried show. The artist have designed and created arts and crafts which reflect the mountains. Included in the Church Street Arts and Crafts Show will be art and craft demonstrations.

The Church Street Art and Craft Show is also popular for the  variety of entertainment featured throughout the day. Scheduled this year is Whitewater Bluegrass Band, Montreat Pipes and Drums, Dixie Darlings, Hominy Valley Boys Band, Southern Appalachian Cloggers, Fines Creek Flat Footers, Ashegrove Garland Dancers, along with a variety of mountain music and dancers. The featured family entertainment will also include Mr. Tom's Magic Show, and The Living Statute.
